Features & Fixes Details
Transfer of Service dates assignment
When submitting a Transfer of Service to the ESG Billing System, OpsAdmin generates a new enrollment which dates are set as follows:
-
Contract Start and End Date are the same as the original enrollment.
-
Requested Date is the date chosen by the agent during the Transfer of Service process.
-
Service Start Date must be stored in the db following the logic of the System Setup parameter “Generate provisional dates when saving the enrollment”:
-
If the parameter is enabled, OpsAdmin sets the service dates in the DB using the date provided by the user but it doesn’t submit them to the billing system.
-
If it's disabled, the field is left empty.
-
Once the enrollment is approved by the billing system, OpsAdmin refreshes the enrollment with the provided dates.
-
Credit Check: Toggle Skip Credit Check Option in Web Enrollment Journey and Quick Enrollments
Now it’s possible to toggle on/off the “Skip credit check” option in the Web Enrollment Journey. With this setting disabled, the Web Enrollment Journey can now force customers to have their credit checked, while this was optional with the current setup.
To allow this, a new setting can be found under System Setup: “Show Skip Credit Check Option In Wizard”:
For Quick Enrollments, the “Bypass credit check for the customer” option is not displayed so that the agent is forced to perform a credit check on the customer.
If an OpsAdmin administrator wants to grant some users the possibility of still skipping the credit check despite the general settings, the role Quick Enrollments: Allow To Skip The Credit Check can be assigned to a user/group.
Fraud Prevention: Limit The Enrollment Start Date
In case it’s necessary to count on some extra time to validate an enrollment when analyzing fraudulent customers, OpsAdmin now allows setting a number of days in advance to start an enrollment. The setting "Minimum Start Date Delay In Days" was added to Market Manager. An administrator can configure the minimum number of future days that will be disabled in both the Web Enrollment Journey and Quick Enrollments and that will be used as the default date when none is provided. For example, if the configuration is set to 2 days, and the customer is being enrolled on April 10th, the first available day will be April 12th. This setting only applies to Residential customers.
Fraud Prevention: Toggle to perform credit check with DOB
Currently, a customer/agent can decide to perform a credit check using the Social Security Number of the Date of Birth. With this new Release, OpsAdmin allows forcing customers to have their credit checked only with their SSN. If an Administrator wants to enable the two different ways of performing a credit check, activating the Allow Performing Credit Check Using The Date Of Birth checkbox will allow that.
Adjustments for Sales Importer automation process
The existing functionality to automatically process a Sales File from an FTP has been reviewed and improved since it was not used in a very long time. OpsAdmin now has a System Log trigger to track the files processed through this functionality: New Enrollment From Sales Importer (FTP). User should establish a Pending File path (FTP where the files will be read from) and Processed File Path (Where the already processed files will be placed on, it can be left blank to delete the files completely after the process is finished). If a pending file has the same name as a file that has been previously imported, that file will be ignored by the system.
When using this functionality, the file should match the following criteria:
-
XLS or XLSX files
-
Max size of 10MB
-
Naming Convention: SALES_YYYYMMDDHHmmSS
